Navigate to the menu displaying info about your iPod and hold Shift (Windows) or Option (Mac) while pressing Restore iPod and select the ispw file for 1.2.1ġ) Run iPodWizard as admin and switch it to 'Firmware File' and click 'Open Firmware'.

Note: This first step is optional but has reportedly caused the cracked firmware to exhibit less bugged features. Stock firmware 1.2.1 for 5 or 5.5 gen (optional)įind the downloads in the following drive folder: Modified iPod firmware bin for 1.2.1 (5 or 5.5 gen) (Note: some custom firmwares have this crack built in, but only the standard one will be attached in this guide)
